“In 2020, we started coming to see Dr. Bockow for my daughters teeth. She had an adult tooth stacked like a shark tooth behind her other adult teeth on her front lower jaw. We had been watching it for 12-18 months with our dentist and regular orthodontist our older child had used. We were hoping it would line up where it belonged or near to that. Both our pediatric dentist and our orthodontist surmised it would have to be pulled. A neighbor pleaded with us to see Dr. Bockow and the Inspired team and felt strongly they could save the tooth. They created a treatment plan and explained every little detail of what they planned to do and the steps to get there. “I had an under bite and cross bite which were causing dental attrition as well as making it difficult to eat certain types of food. The treatment plan proposed by Inspired Orthodontics included braces as well as two jaw surgeries. However after the first jaw surgery (SARPE to correct the cross bite) Dr. Bockow was able to use some orthodontic techniques to correct my under bite without surgery! The change in my quality of life has been dramatic - I can now eat sandwiches without pulling out the entire slice of tomato because my teeth didn't properly bite all the way through, my teeth are no longer rubbing against each other causing damage, and my breathing has improved as my sinuses have expanded now that my upper jaw is wider.
