About Us

Dr. Rebecca Bockow is a dual trained orthodontist and periodontist – the only dual trained provider in Seattle and one of only a handful in the country.

“Many of my patients think that braces and tooth alignment is only about a great looking smile. Orthodontics includes this, but an attractive smile is also a healthy smile. My goal is to provide all of my patients with optimal dental health and the fortunate benefit that their smiles will look terrific.”

She grew up the Greater Seattle area and attended University Prep for High School. She received a BS in Biology with Honors at Haverford College, where she also played Soccer, Squash, Tennis, and ran Cross Country and Track. She completed her DDS training at the University of Washington Dental School in 2007. Dr. Bockow practiced as a general dentist in Seattle for two years while simultaneously teaching at the UW dental school.

Dr. Bockow completed a highly selective dual-specialty program combining Orthodontics and Periodontics at the University of Pennsylvania. She is a board certified orthodontist and periodontist. While simultaneously enrolled in two residency programs, she also received a Masters in Oral Biology, focusing on intranasal Ketorolac for post-operative implant pain management.

Dr. Bockow lectures nationally on periodontics, orthodontics, interdisciplinary orthodontics, airway, and skeletal growth and development. She contributes to multiple professional journals as an author and editor. Dr. Bockow is also resident faculty at Spear Education.

Dr. Cassie Truong is thrilled to help patients discover their beautiful, healthy smile while maintaining the utmost attention to detail and care for each individual.

Dr. Truong is originally from Tacoma and attended Mount Tahoma High School where she was valedictorian of her class. She then attended Stanford University where she received her BS in Biology. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Truong completed the Haas Center Project fellowship educating orphans in Vietnam on the importance of oral health thus melding her Vietnamese heritage with her passion for oral health care.

Dr. Truong completed her DDS training at the University of California San Francisco Dental School and was the Mendelson Scholarship recipient of her class. She continued to complete the highly selective Orthodontics Program at The University of Pennsylvania and was awarded the University of Pennsylvania’s Research Award for her work on the effects of expansion on the hard and soft tissue of the nasal cavity.

Dr. Truong strongly believes that behind every smile is a story and wants to help every patient share their story with the world.

Dr. Joondeph’s passion is helping patients achieve an attractive and healthy smile. His outstanding specialty training, commitment to excellence, and clinical experience are a dynamite combination that will ensure you and/or your family will receive the highest quality of orthodontic care.

Dr. Joondeph has long served on faculty at the University of Washington. He was Chair of the Orthodontic Department from 1975 until 1984 and currently remains on faculty as an Emeritus Professor of Orthodontics. His commitment to teaching and research has enabled Dr. Joondeph to keep up to date with the “latest and greatest” in orthodontic innovation and technology.

Dr. Joondeph received his undergraduate, dental, and orthodontic degrees from Northwestern University in Chicago. Following orthodontic specialty training, he came west for a two-year orthodontic fellowship at the University of Washington and subsequently decided to make his home in the Seattle area.

Dr. Joondeph has always believed that contributing or “paying back” is an essential responsibility of being part of a profession and community. To this end, he has served as president of the Washington State Society of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists, American Association of Orthodontists, and American Board of Orthodontics. He is also a member of the above organizations as well as Seattle King County Dental Society and the American Dental Association.

When he’s not helping to create beautiful smiles, Dr. Joondeph enjoys spending time with his family, reading, and sports; a sports memorabilia exhibit is on display at the office which represents many of the sporting events he has either attended or been associated with. Most items have a “story” behind them that Dr. Joondeph would be happy to share with you.

“The best dental experience ever! The front office staff is great and so helpful! Dr. Bockow is patient and really listened to me. She did a great job and she is very gentle.” - Susan
