” If we as humans have deficient jaws, top or bottom or both – we tend to develop compensation patterns."

” So, a cross bite is a great example. You have a narrow maxilla. Lower jaw shifts to one side in order to chew and also to speak. Now we have uneven loading of the of the condyles and we have compensation patterns."

” Over time, if that isn't addressed, that patient will continue to have these compensation patterns. And we tend ultimately to see breakdown and or, unhealthy growth patterns."

” Which ultimately, in many cases, will lead to jaw surgery. If we can unravel some of those compensations early with early intervention it, not always, but we hope in many instances maybe we can avoid surgery."
